The wound cut deep, the night stretched far,
Each whispered pain transformed
into a scar.
I draped myself in sorrow’s veil,
And let the silence softly
prevail.
Time, that steadfast and soothing
guide,
Washed away the tears that I used
to hide.
New light seeped through the
cracks I bore,
And taught my heart to dream once
more.
What pain once hardened me into
stone,
Now, it leaves me softer, no
longer alone.
I walk ahead, with my past at my
back
A little bruised, yet still on
track.
