Seasons

It was the last day of the Winter,
And the snow had melted away,
The chilling wind no longer whistled,
The green grass showed the way.

For here comes beautiful Miss Spring,
With joy and love in her steps,
The flowers would be in full blossom,
As the little birds chirp away.

The sun would start to warm up,
Getting ready for the next phase,
Well just a few days later,
Miss Summer would land up in all her grace.

Heat waves would follow us all,
Thirsty creatures crawling around,
Waiting eagerly for drops of water,
And how long before the monsoon would come to town.

Miss Rain would come with a lot of vigor,
The sins of the world would be washed away,
But too much vigor on Mother Nature's part,
Could wreck havoc and result in a flood.

All creatures would pray for rains to stop,
And that is when the artistic mind would drop.
A splash of bright colors all around,
Accompanied by a cool breeze, yes Miss Autumn is in town.

We would be awed by Mother Nature's canvas,
And the next few weeks would quickly pass.
The sun would grow mellow and the air would be cold and dry,
Surprise! Miss Winter is back as all the seasons did fly.
